Soccer has shaped my life since day one.

One of the best things about soccer is being part of a team. There’s nothing better than stepping onto the field with your teammates, stringing a few passes together, making the run you know your midfielder is going to see, celebrating a goal together — that’s what makes the game special. On gameday, we pull on the same shirt, the same shorts and the same socks. We wear the same colors because we’re part of something bigger than ourselves.

But the boots? Those are yours.

They’re one of the places on the field where you get to show a little bit of who you are. Whether you’re lacing up a brand-new pair of boots or wearing a pair hand me downs from your neighbor, they’re still your boots, they make you you, and I wanted to create a way to make them feel that way.

That idea turned into MEGG’D at my kitchen table.
